This week, Cal Poly Rose Float had the honor of hosting the Collins College of Hospitality Management for a special cross-departmental collaboration! The day was all about learning, teamwork, and sharing what makes each program unique. The Collins College students got a behind-the-scenes look at the engineering and design process that brings our floats to life, while our team learned about the organization and coordination that goes into running large-scale hospitality events. To top it all off, the Collins College outdid themselves with an incredible meal — serving enough pasta salad, grilled chicken, and watermelon for almost 300 people! Their hospitality and attention to detail made the day unforgettable and reminded us of the power of collaboration across disciplines.
