Huntington Library Research Trip

On Friday, October 3rd, the leads of the Decorations Department, along with the Concealment sub-department went on an educational field trip to the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens. This full day research trip covered a greenhouse and a plant library, with the members being gifted some cuttings, including orchids, roses, monstera leaves, palm leaves, and even aerial roots. The members also focused on learning as much as they could about the size, color, texture, and growth processes of the various pieces they were gifted. They were invited to return in a few weeks to personally collect some more cuttings, but in the meantime, they came away with some suggestions and ideas from the Huntington team on colors and placements.
