The Cal Poly Pomona Rose Float Alumni Chapter seeks to support, encourage and further develop the Rose Float program through collaboration, education and guidance.

The biggest event for the Rose Float Alumni Chapter is of course the annual joint float project built by Cal Poly Pomona and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. A new, grand design changes every year, and debuts in the annual Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena on New Year's Day. The Cal Poly floats have won many Tournament awards since its inception. In 2010 the Cal Poly float made history by winning the Bob Hope Humor Trophy and the Viewers' Choice Award, which is voted by the public. Since January 1, 2019, Cal Poly Rose Float has earned 59 awards from its participation in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses parade.
