This week marked our very first joint lab day, and it was a huge success! Operations teamed up with our alumni to host the annual Chili Cook-Off to help celebrate the joining of the chassis. With various kinds of delicious chili and many alumni in attendance, everyone left happy and full. Meanwhile, Decorations explored new color palettes for our main elements and continued their mission to secure donations. Design made major progress, with structural supports nearly complete, and elements like the toucan and macaw are almost finished! They’re also working on merging teams so both campuses can work in sync. The Concealment sub-department spent the week carving intricate heliconias from foam. Over in Construction, the department focused on mech mounting, testing, and relay box checks, while also pushing forward with the welding curtains project. All in all, it was a week full of teamwork, resulting in great progress!
