Happy Saturday! Welcome to the first official lab day for us here at Pomona Cal Poly Rose Float. We have so many new members with us today, with over 200 Participants and Team members ready to get this float created for the Parade. Today, Decorations tested and processed materials for our float elements, while taking inventory and researching new donation sources for more materials. Operations is prepping for an upcoming merch sale coming soon and trained new members on graphic design software and kitchen safety. Design continued shaping elements and building vertical supports, as well as putting together the grid framework, essential to fitting the screen on the float. Construction has worked on mechanisms for the float, almost completing all arm trusses for the robot, while Hydraulics and Electronics have been hard at work testing the cylinders and motors and building the control box.
